Managed to get a bit of time over the festive period to submit an entry into Concept Art's challenge to paint a post apocalyptic Santa. This was my entry. I'm not really happy with it, but here it is...Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all!

Zelda Windwaker Re-imagined
It's been a while. Unfortunately been working these last few weeks on work that I can't show to anyone yet. In between jobs I worked on this old painting I started a few months back.
This started off as a piece for Crimson Daggers challenge to re-design the game cover for Zelda Windwaker.
Never got round to finishing it in time to submit for the challenge but here it is anyway.
Not quite finished, but as finished as it's ever gonna be!!

Snow White Evil Queen re-designed
It's finally here! I've had some time recently to finish off (I never feel a painting is totally finished) the next piece in my Disney Villain series, the Evil Queen from Snow White. She is always referred to as the most beautiful of the villains and I wanted this to come across in the painting. Again, I tried to stay true to the original Disney design, just put my stamp on it.
Some people have been asking what the "QG" on the crown represents. The Evil Queen was often referred to as "Queen Grimhilde" in 1930's publications so I incorporated that in the design.
Anyway, that's enough rambling for now. Hope you like it!

Try something new
Hello everyone! The last couple of weeks have brought me some work that I have never done before. The first was a tattoo design. Something relatively simple incorporating the Zodiac sign for Scorpio and the client's daughter's name. Like I say, something new and something simple but fun nonetheless.
The second was something I really enjoyed. I was asked the design wedding invitations that included whimsical bespoke designs of the bride and groom on the front. They wanted something that people would instantly recognise as them. This was a lot of fun and it now looks like I will have further work doing the table name designs, order of ceremony etc. Again, something different from what I am used to but it is nice to stretch myself and do something completely different once in a whole.
In between times I have been working on some personal pieces, most recently starting Hades for my Disney villain series. Hopefully work will let up slightly so I can get a few of these done quite quickly!
That's all for now!
Bye bye!

General update...
Got a break in work for a few days so spending the time finishing off my Zelda Windwaker game art redesign which I never got around to finishing. Should be ready to post soon.
Then it's back to my Disney Villains series. The Evil Queen is about 75% done. Looking forward to finishing that off then starting on either Hades from Hercules or maybe Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
Anyway, ciao for now!

Back to work...
Just checking in after 4 days off in Berlin. Had a great time but its good to get back to work! Arrived back just in time for the Crimson Daggers Bloodsport 10 announcement. Would really like to get involved in this one. Early thughts are to go with the Molly Millions character, but the Jack Black character is tempting! Keep you posted!

One of those days...!!
Nothing much to report today, except that I'm having one of those days that everything I do on my painting seems to make it worse!! I find the only cure for this is to take a break from it and come back to it in the morning with a fresh pair of eyes. Fingers crossed that will do the trick!

Disney's Maleficent Re-imagination
The idea of redesigning a popular character or brand really appeals to me. Whenever I see a challenge along these lines, I always try to give it a go, time permitting of course. So I decided to set myself a challenge, re-design the evil villains from the animated Disney movies! Here is the first in the series, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.
